Graduate Math's and English Tutor | Secondary School | Basildon, Essex
Are you an English or Math's graduate looking to gain school experience?
Are you an aspiring teacher hoping to secure a role for the remainder of the academic year to reaffirm your ambitions?
Within this Math's and English Tutor role you will be offered a long-term opportunity to support GCSE and A Level students, helping to boost exam results. This is a role that will see you work the rest of the academic year gaining the experience you need.
** Math's and English Tutor needed in Outstanding Secondary
** Based in Basildon with excellent access by train and road
** GBP60- GBP70 per day, paid weekly (dependent on experience)
** Long-Term position starting ASAP for the remainder of the academic year
** Math's or English degree of 2:1 or above and an excellent command of the other subject required
** Previous experience of working with young people or tuition/ mentor roles required
The Math's and English Tutor Role
The successful Math's and English Tutor will be a positive graduate who can act as a role model and inspire the students. You will have a naturally strong ability to communicate complex subject matter in a coherent manner with students who may be struggling to engage with the course material.
This Math's and English Tutor role will involve leading small groups in revision and booster sessions, targeting both low and high achievers to meet and exceed their targeted grades. You will also be offered the opportunity to support in-class gaining an excellent understanding of the key principles of teaching and gaining invaluable exposure to behaviour management techniques, curriculum content and lesson planning.
You will be offered the opportunity to undertake the schools training sessions, offered to all staff, equipping you with the fundamental skills needed to progress on to your teacher training.
