Wanted: Someone to set us up for success!
Our Credit Cards continue to disrupt the market - smashing targets, winning industry awards and delivering for our customers. We're ambitious, and need more brilliant, talented individuals to help us get there.
We're looking for an energetic, control minded System Configuration Manager to lead and develop a team of talented and enthusiastic analysts, who do an incredible job maintaining the key systems we use to run our credit card and debit card businesses. You'll receive requests from multiple areas, assess and prioritise these, and own the plan of what happens when. You'll also support customer campaigns, helping translate marketing instructions into technical briefs in a clear, understandable way, oversee the checks on this process, and oversee updates to large groups of customer accounts on our systems.
In the interests of making sure Everyone's Better Off, you'll be a total control freak, who's got a great eye for detail and a huge focus on control. You'll be responsible for everything you and your team do, to make sure nothing goes wrong. Accuracy and control are essential, and with the Be Safe principle in mind, you'll double (and triple!) check if necessary to make sure everything is spot on!
As well as making some of the most important business processes work, you'll also get involved in change projects that will deliver product launches, system changes, operational improvements, customer enhancements, efficiencies, regulatory change, as well as wider Virgin Money group projects. You'll never be bored across such a diverse range of work - so we need someone who is able to keep control of lots of priorities and activities at the same time.
Ideally, you'll be experienced in managing others in a financial services or credit card environment, with a proven track record of developing people to increase their technical knowledge and skills. It would be great if you've used TS2 before, but if you've managed workflow and small change in other technical areas, especially financial services or credit card companies, we'd love to hear from you!
Come and join us and help to build a better bank - our aim is to nurture a skilled, diverse and committed workforce where every individual - regardless of background - can share our purpose, reach their potential and be rewarded appropriately for their contribution to our success.
Location - Chester
Salary - from GBP45,500 depending on experience.
