Lloyds Banking Group is the company behind some of the UK's leading financial services brands with the vision to be the best bank for customers. We are currently seeking a pricing analyst to join our expanding Credit Cards Pricing team.

The credit card pricing team is responsible for the pricing of offers and interest rates for new and our existing customers. This role will have the specific responsibility of developing our retail and retention pricing strategies for our existing customers. This will involve understanding customer demand and commercial value of these offers. At all times the pricing team needs to ensure that the offers we make meet our customer's needs and offer value for money to customers in a highly competitive market. Within such a large portfolio, customer needs can vary so you will need to design a pricing strategy which meets these differing needs. LBG operates regular retail offer marketing campaigns and you will have a strong influence over the performance of these through your pricing strategy.

This role will require the candidate to be able to analyse previous campaign performance to inform future pricing decisions. The role will involve the use of Teradata to extract data and then form meaningful insight. This insight will include an understanding of customer demand (response rates) and the commercial value of the offers we make (NPV). The role will involve working closely with colleagues in our channel delivery teams, credit risk and finance teams to ensure your recommendations meet agreed business objectives. You will have the opportunity to present your analysis recommendations to Senior Managers on a regular basis.

To apply, you will need to be a highly motivated candidate who has a strong academic numerical background. The role is highly analytical and therefore confidence with interpreting numbers is essential. All the required training in using Teradata is provided, though having previous experience using data mining software will be beneficial.

This role is best suited for candidates who are looking for their first or second role in an analytical position. The ideal candidate will have attained a degree qualification with a minimum of a 2.1 grade in a numerical subject
and be able to demonstrate an aptitude to using data mining software (experience of using data extraction software is preferred but not essential as all training will be provided.
You will be able to analyse data and then present conclusions concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences whilst having the confidence to work autonomously and communicate in an influencing manner to stakeholders.
The ability able to plan, prioritise and manage a diverse workload effectively is critical to this role.

In return, we'll recognise and reward your performance. Our award-winning benefits package includes a flexible option that allows you to choose cash or pick from a wide range of benefits. These include a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance and retail discount vouchers. You'll also have our full support in training and opportunities for both personal and professional development.
