Sponsorship Manager / Business Development

Tech City News is rapidly expanding we therefore have a fantastic opportunity within our commercial team. Your role will be to help further grow the advertising and sponsorship revenue for both print, online and events.

This is an exciting role for someone that relishes a challenge and is looking for fast track career progression.

The successful candidate will understand advertising and working with client marketing teams, but also have a creative spark for creating and selling sponsorship on events and video content.

The main objective of the role is to maximise the monthly sales revenue, develop core relationships with leading advertisers. You will be selling print advertising, digital packages, event sponsorship and wider cross platform sponsorship.

Key objectives:

?? Proactively identify and secure business opportunities, from both existing and new clients.

?? Negotiate with direct advertisers.

?? Meet clients face to face building a rapport to further relationships.

?? Develop a genuine understanding of the tech ecosystem, the value chain between startups and corporate partners.

?? Monitor market trends in order to offer further advertising solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience:

?? Excellent commercial and interpersonal skills

?? Good communication and analytical skills

?? Have a proactive and dynamic approach to sales

?? Demonstrable success in an advertising sales/sponsorship role, with proven skills in core sales and new business development

?? Highly experienced in client servicing and building long-lasting business relationships

?? Ability to perform in an International work environment

?? An understanding of the mechanics of the tech sector would be advantageous
