Retail Security Officer
Location - Bristol, BS4 2QU
Hours - 39 hours per week
Salary - Competitive + pension, holiday, uniform, SIA renewal and ongoing training
Mitie is currently looking to add a SIA licenced Security Officer to start ASAP in the Total Security Management Team. The Security Officer will be based on a site in Bristol on a prestigious contract of a high profile british high-street retail chain which sells homewares and household goods.
Reporting to the Manager/Security Operations Manager the Security Officer will be responsible for providing a visible security contact for all members of staff, clients and visitors.The Security Officer will be working in a fast- paced environment that welcomes a high number of customers per week.
The Role-

Maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel

The Role-
Responsibilities of Successful Security officers-
Maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
- Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities and Liaising with Police when required.
- Dealing with any difficult situations that arise in a safe, calm and professional manner.
- Provide a visual deterrent
- Detecting and preventing theft, vandalism or any other form of crime .
- Creating a secure environment for public and members by monitoring CCTV and all security systems, following procedures in the event of an incident.
- Completing retrospective CCTV reviews focusing on shrinkage
Core Competencies-
- Previous experience providing general Security duties as a Security Officer, Security guard or equivalent
- SIA licensed
- Provide 5* customer service
- Excellent communication skills, Verbally and written
- Ability to stay calm/professional under pressure
