We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to work for a large manufacturing company located in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
THE DUTIES:
* To manage all internal/ external Customer concerns from initial containment, effective countermeasure, preventative measures and final close out by establishing cross functional 8D teams.
* Manage all Customer containment internal and external activity including safe disposition and analysis of defects found and communication to the Customer via Customer portals and Reporting Method i.e.8D and 7 Step and alerting Customers to safe stock via correct paperwork.
* Analysing quality data collected from shift audits in order to identifying continuous improvement and make necessary adjustments within the audit process
* Maintain and develop Quality Visual Standards in line with Customer Expectations
* Supplier PPAP approval Customer PPAP approval
* Coordinate APQP for New Programs and Product changes TS16949 Element champion as required
* Act as investigation leader or member when required for Corrective and Preventive Action for Customer, Supplier and Production
* Development of Control Plan and PFMEA including Receiving Control Plan Complies with Quality, Environmental, and Material Management System requirements
* Involved when required in special assignments or projects established in order to achieve "Continuous Quality improvement"
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPEREINCES:
* Minimum 2 years experience, working in a similar role.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* Working Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, trials, audits, PPAP, ISIR, 8D problem solving, Ishikawa diagrams, control plans etc.
* World Class lean Manufacturing Tools - 5s, SMED. Hoshin, Kanban
* Working understanding of root cause analysis and CAPA
THE HOURS:
You will work a days shift (Monday to Thursday (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only)).
THE PACKAGE:
You will earn a basic salary of between GBP34,000 and GBP36,000 / annum (depending on experience), plus outstanding benefits
