North Warwickshire Borough Council’s Housing Division serves just under 2,700 tenancies. The Housing Division is committed to providing an excellent maintenance service for our tenants and delivering this quality service through our in house team. We have an opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to work within our Maintenance Section. You will need to be able to work as part of a team ensuring that the work tasks you undertake meet the satisfaction of our tenants.

We are seeking a Labourer/Driver to undertake a variety of works including working alongside our tradesmen to assist them in their tasks. The job includes the following duties:

• Collection and delivery of materials and plant to site
• Collect and removal from site rubbish following the completion of building works
• Clearance of household contents and belongings from empty properties
• Clearance and cutting back gardens at void properties
• Cleaning of void properties prior to re-letting
• Working with Tradesmen to assist in completing repairs.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. A Standard Disclosure will be required.
