We are seeking to appoint a Legal Officer in the Education, Employment & Prosecutions Team in the Legal Office at Lincolnshire County Council.  The successful candidate will primarily provide support to the members of the team undertaking the criminal prosecutions on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council. You will also be expected to assist the team with other matters from time to time with issuing summons, service of documents, drafting Brief's to Counsel and attendance at Court with Counsel. To assist senior colleagues in the team with duties as required from time to time as directed by the Team Leader. 

Applicants must have knowledge of the law, ideally in relation to criminal law.  An interest in both education and employment law would also be desirable.

Additionally, applicants must be well organised, flexible, IT literate and able to work professionally to meet deadlines in a busy legal environment.
