SQL Server DBA

We're looking for an enthusiastic SQL Server DBA to join my clients Engineering teams.

The business is a leading SaaS platform for digital marketing professionals. They are growing fast and enjoy the challenge of using the latest technology to cater for a growing customer base. Their service helps thousands of customers market their business online, systems are busy day and night and are used by people the world over.

The DBA team are core to success. They're responsible for the day to day operation of all production databases and help oversee the infrastructure powering them. Working alongside the in-house development teams you will design and develop new features ensuring your work is scalable and robust. They process and store a huge amount of data and push SQL Server to its limits. Dealing with multi-Terabyte, high throughput, highly available databases will stretch your knowledge of SQL and strengthen your skills as a DBA.

• 1-3 years working as a SQL Server DBA
• SQL 2012+
• T-SQL
• Database Design
• Tuning
• Refactoring
• SQL server HA & DR
• Windows failover clusters

Desirable Skills

• Working with VLDBs
• PowerShell
• Desired State Configuration
• SQL 2016+
• SQL Server MCSA/ MCSE
• SQL Server Migration/ Consolidation
• Database Lifecycle Management (TFS /TeamCity)
• Partitioning
• SSIS
• Azure
• Systems administration experience using Windows Server and Active Directory
