Job Title: Health Care Assistant

Hours: Permanent, Full Time (Part time available, dependant on flexibility)

Location: Haslemere, Surrey

Salary: £7-£8

Reports To: Service Manager / Team Leaders

Job Purpose:

Providing care to the residents under the guidance and supervision of the Service Manager, trained nursing staff and Team Leaders in a caring, kind, trustworthy and respectful manner, preserving dignity and self-respect at all times. Undertaking other activities to assist in the running of the Service as required.

There are positions available in 2 different locations based in Haslemere and Beacon Hill.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide the highest standards of personal care and attention for the residents.
  • To participate fully in the overall care of the residents.
  • To assist in maintaining safe levels of care and assuring safe practice.
  • To act as a key worker for a number of residents ensuring that you greet any residents, for whom you are a key worker, on admission to the Service and assist them to settle in.
  • To assist the residents in personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toilet needs.
  • To ensure that residents have any aids (Dentures, Hearing Aids, Spectacles etc) fitted, cleaned and in working order.
  • To assist the residents in rehabilitation activities under the guidance and supervision of the Service Manager and trained nursing staff.
