PARENT FAMILY SUPPORT ADVISER

Salary:  Grade 12, £20,661 - £23,398 pro rata

Hours: 37 per week, all year round

This is a full time and permanent post at Westfield Academy, also supporting Huish Primary School.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with children, young people and their families, aiming to improve achievement in school. 

As a Parent Family Support Adviser, you will advise and support parents ensuring their children attend school regularly and gain maximum benefit from the education the school offers. You will also develop and provide knowledge of family services available in the local community.

You will work primarily with children and their parents/carers at Westfield Academy and Huish Primary ensuring all pupils have full access to educational opportunities and are able to overcome barriers to learning and participation. Experience of delivering individual/group based support and an understanding of children within their family context is essential, as well as work experience within education, social services, health or the voluntary sector.
