Class 2 Delivery Driver

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 Delivery Driver to join a well-established and renowned wholesale supplier to fish and chip shops around the Midlands. Based in Willenhall, Wolverhampton, the successful Class 2 Delivery Driver will earn a salary of £10.05/hr + bonuses + overtime with the potential to earn up to £11.50/hr including bonuses.

Established over 50 years ago, the company is one of the leading suppliers to the fish and chip trade in the Midlands. Deliveries will be made in one of the company’s purpose built, dry/temperature controlled vehicles. As a Class 2 Delivery Driver your duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Unloading the products needed by each customer 
• Taking payment from each customer
• Carry out vehicle checks to ensure it is safe to drive
• Driving either category C, C1 or C1e vehicles
• Delivering on average 12 drops per day

The successful Class 2 Delivery Driver will be comfortable with manually loading and unloading goods by hand. In addition, the following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

• Class 2 license (Cat C) with no more than 6 points
• 7.5 tonne drivers will be considered (C1 or C1e)
• Must have held a UK license for a minimum of 2 years
• Experience handling cash is desirable
• Excellent organisational skills
• Enthusiastic, polite and positive attitude

The rate of pay starts at £10.05/hr but bonuses are awarded depending on the amount of cash collected each day, with the potential to earn up to £11.50/hr. Whilst working hours are typically 7.30am – 4.30pm, all drops must be made and any overtime completed will be paid.
