Position: Head of Finance/Management Accountant
Location: London (Primarily Working from Home)
Salary: £30,000 (Pro-rata basis - 2 Days Per Week)

The Company:
Our client is a dynamic company, that specialises in changing behaviour. They are a unique training company that works with leading businesses to transform behaviour with instant observable results!

They are looking to recruit an in-house Head of Finance/Management Accountant to take ownership of the implementation of a financial system to analyse and objectify the financial health of the company.

The Head of Finance/Management Accountant Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant, to come in and create a lean financial system.

They have outlined the basic processes for this system, however would like to work in partnership with an in-house Accountant who would lead them in building a time-bound efficient system as a foundation for their company to grow and support the internal business functions.

Working remotely means that much of their communication is done via Skype and Mobile calls. This Head of Finance/Management Accountant role is a part time position (working primarily from home, 2 days a week).

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Finance/Management Accountant:

• Preparing monthly Management Accounts and supporting schedules
• Manage annual accounts and compliance with HMRC regulations
• Providing detailed variance analysis.
• Carry out monthly close processes
• Prepare monthly reporting pack
• Manage fixed asset register
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Support budget process by managing schedules, consolidating responses and maintaining up to date versioning of budgets
• Cost analysis and identification of potential savings
• Responsible for accounts payable and Accounts Receivable
• Review and process expense reports in accordance with company policy
• Assist in improving accounting processes and using systems to create efficiencies and increased automation

Skills & Experience Required:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• 5+ years finance experience
• Strong analytical and IT skills
• Proficient in MS Office and advanced in MS Excel is a must
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. This is a key requirement
• Experience of using Xero & Receipt Bank is essential
