Transport Planner

Goggins Transport Limited is a privately owned, family run freight company which was established in Galway in 1979. We are a Road Haulage company specialising in Container Deliveries/Collection throughout the UK and Ireland (North & South) & General Haulage and Distribution using our own liveried Skeletal, Tautliner, Coil Carriers and Euroliner Trailers. We pride ourselves on an excellent, reliable and predictable service, which can be tailored to each of our client’s specific needs.

The Transport Planner Role

The role is to integrate with a very busy Transport Operations team, learn our business and its nuances and to help our dedicated operations team become more efficient and improve our already high standard and service levels.

Our ideal Transport Planner

To be successful in this role you must have experience of working within a haulage company, you will also have:

- Experience in Planning in the Road Haulage Sector

- Excellent understanding of Tachograph hours and legal requirements

- Excellent understanding of the Working Time Directive

- Excellent knowledge of UK Geography

- Excellent Time Keeping ethic

- Excellent General Work Ethic

- Excellent Communication skills

- Excellent ability to work as part of a team
