STEM Teaching Assistant - Wolverhampton
This role is designed for STEM subject graduate who would like to gain further experience in a classroom prior to enrolling on a teacher training programme.

For this Teaching Assistant post, you must be an enthusiastic graduate of science, technology, engineering or maths, who has an impressive academic record with a 2:2 or better in your degree and ideally some experience working with children. The successful candidate will arrive with the aim of becoming a teacher and the confidence to work with young people. You must show the ability to create an encouraging, productive atmosphere and build bonds with both students and fellow members of staff. You must show exceptional professionalism at all times.
As a STEM Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils, within the science and maths departments, who will be preparing to take their GCSEs, either individually, in small groups or as a class. You will work closely with the class teacher and Head of Year to take responsibility for science & maths intervention programmes, having your own small groups of students outside of the classroom. This school has a system where each of their TAs and LSAs are assigned a talented mentor, in this case your will by supported by an experienced and highly thought of Head of Science.
