Junior SOC Analyst/Nottingham/25,000+Shift bonus
The company:
My client is an award winning provider of managed threat detection andincident response services that help businesses defend against cyberthreats. They have a comprehensive range of managed threat detection,penetration testing, red team operation and cyber incident responseservices, helping organisations to protect their critical assets andreputation by exposing wide-ranging security vulnerabilities.
The role:
*Responsible for working in a 24x7 Security Operation Center (SOC).
*Perform ongoing monitoring and threat analysis.
*Supporting multiple customer environments concurrently.
*Respond to system generated alerts, analyse logs and traffic patterns.
*Provide analysis and trending of security log data from a large numberof monitoring points.
*Generate customer facing daily, weekly and monthly security reports.
*Integrate and share information with other analysts and other teams.
*Research security trends, new methods and techniques used inunauthorized access of data in order to pre-emptively eliminate thepossibility of system breach.
Nice to have skills:
*Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, andtechnical security solutions (firewall and intrusion detection systems)/
*Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.
*Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications.
*Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Candidate must be eligible to obtain a UK National Security Clearance.
*Knowledge of SIEM systems.
