Our client is one of the fastest, exciting growing businesses in Bournemouth and they have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Legal Services Manager to be based at their Bournemouth Head Office.

About the Role
This unique and exciting opportunity will suit an experienced Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive, who has direct people management experience.

Heading up the Legal Services division within Management Services, the successful candidate will provide an extensive legal, practical and commercial advice and information service to a range of internal and external stakeholders on all legal matters relating to Property and Management Services, including:

  • Company leases and deeds of conditions
  • Property and Landlord & Tenant Legislation
  • The Scottish Factors Act and Code of Conduct
  • ARMA accreditation
  • Service charge administration and general estate management

Our client is a growing business so it is of paramount importance that Management Services policies, procedures and guidance notes are reviewed and maintained on a regular basis, in conjunction with Managers and that the post holder also keeps the Management Services membership up to date and regulatory compliant.

The successful candidate will have direct responsibility for the Property Transfer team, ensuring the efficient provision of Management Information Packs and other information requested by sellers' conveyancers. You will ensure that company landlord and manager requirements and obligations are fulfilled in respect of resale, sub-lettings, permissions and Homeowners updates on changes of occupancy.

In addition, the successful individual will have direct responsibility for the Management Support Executive and will oversee the complaints operation.

Other tasks will include providing support to the Group Legal Department, providing training to staff on legal and property management matters and playing an active part within the Management Team.

About You
This role will suit a professional Solicitor/Legal Executive, who has a passion for property and the law. Attention to detail, accuracy and high quality standards are key, together with ability to juggle conflicting demands.

The successful candidate will have a good general knowledge of property and landlord and tenant legislation, together with an understanding of managing agent services and related legislation and regulation.

Good people management skills are essential and you must have a passion for getting the best out of your team. You will have excellent organisational, communication and coaching skills, as well as the ability to foster positive relationships.

You must also be computer literate, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. Prior experience of using a Property Management Database is desirable.

The role is office based, however, travel may be required to from time to time.
