Security Officer - The Gate - Newcastle 

(30 hours per week, Various shifts, £8.70 per hour)

SIA licence is essential for this role

Our contracted security company is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to take on the above role.

The Development:  A multi-million urban entertainment centre comprising a 16 Screen multiplex cinema, with parking for over 270 cars in Newgate Street, Newcastle. Comprising bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and a casino operating between 9am and 3am, 7 days a week, 364 days a year.

The Role: Ensuring the security and safety of  the building and visiting members of the Public. Responsible for protecting the security and safety of the building and personnel on site. Ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner and meet relevant legislation.

The Candidate: A committed and self-motivated individual with a confident approach and strong understanding of security industry and customer service skills.

• Must possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work as part of a team and add value to the team.
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
• A good basic education will be required including GCSE or equivalent
• SIA licence to operate within the security industry is essential for this role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply and conduct oneself at all times in accordance with the site Assignment and Emergency Instructions.
• Complete report books and all relevant company and site paperwork.
• Communicate all incidents to Site Manager
• Dealing with hostile members of the public to resolve a conflict situation
• Patrolling and monitoring all areas of the complex
• Completing fire and Health & Safety checks
• Communicating with internal clients
• Promote good customer service at all times
• CCTV Camera Monitoring (Licensed personnel only)
• Correct use of the on-site radio system
