We are looking for an experienced Data Protection specialist to lead on and implement a programme of work to ensure that Anchor is compliant with the GDPR before May 2018.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Scoping GDPR requirements and producing and managing a detailed programme of work and deliverables, including key milestones
- Reviewing and utilising the outcome of internal audit reviews to develop an action plan which will form part of the overall delivery programme
- Reviewing current policies and procedures in relation to SARs and ensuring fit for purpose to meet current requirements
- Ensuring appropriate privacy impact assessments are undertaken and appropriate PIA training is disseminated across the organisation
- Providing leadership and direction to all aspects of the GDPR programme
- Managing relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and agreement on strategic GDPR initiatives
- Implementing sustainable processes to ensure ongoing GDPR compliance
- Ensuring consistent project delivery methodology is used
Qualifications and Skills -
- Sound knowledge of Data Protection legislation and GDPR
- Ability and experience to discuss data protection requirements from a legal, risk, operational and technical perspective with business counterparts.
- Recognised Privacy qualifications preferred (e.g. CIPP, ISEB/BCS etc)
- Ability to interact with individuals at a senior level
- Experience of leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- A dynamic, self-motivated, positive and innovative approach
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong analysis and decision-making skills
- Rapid assimilation of information, with the ability to advise and make associated decisions.
