Southern Water is currently recruiting for a Process Operator to join the Waste Water team in Central and North area of Kent.

This role has an attractive salary connected to it, with a figure of up to GBP20,777 plus standby depending on experience.

In order to be considered for this role you will have proven experience in similar or associated roles and possess. You must have a full UK Driving Licence as the role will involve driving between sites. You must also be prepared to work within the company's rota of a 7 day working week (38hrs, that does involve some weekend work) and participate on a stand by rota.
As a Process Operator your responsibilities will include the following:

• To carry out and report on a range of front line operational routine and reactive activities, to ensure the smooth operation of sewerage treatment works and wastewater pumping stations in line with regulatory and business standards.
• To carry out front line maintenance tasks to the required standard in line with best practice to improve the service given to our customers. These tasks will include:- unblocking pumps, screens and valves to ensure continuous plant operation.
• Monitoring and recording of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is met.

Fault finding and problem solving skills are essential to this role.
