As a Marketing Manager with a proven track record in financial services you will assist in developing and implementing demand and lead generation strategies that build brand awareness and engagement; which create new revenue opportunities from existing and new clients, meeting agreed targets and which directly help our client and their and individual business units achieving their financial and broader business objectives.
Accountabilities of the Marketing Manager
-Development and implementation of marketing campaigns, both online and offline including the management of external communications, email marketing and social media channels.
-Development and implementation of content marketing strategies, including the commissioning, editing and writing of articles, blogs, white papers, brochures and the like, as appropriate.
-Management of the company's websites using the content management system and working with the external web agency, where appropriate.
-Contribute toward the development of the marketing strategies and plans at a firm, business unit and target sector level and in relation to emerging issues and other opportunities.
-Responsible for the management of the brand guidelines including the development of new templates and ensuring that all marketing and client documents have a consistent online and print brand look and style.
-Maintain and communicate the schedule of marketing activity and contribute toward the monthly, quarterly and annual marketing reports to the board and senior management teams.
-Manage relationships with internal support functions, internal clients and external service providers of marketing services to ensure that marketing maintains a positive profile and is seen as a key business support function.
-Ensure that all marketing activity remains within agreed budgets.
-Maintain awareness of marketing trends and continually seek new ways to improve marketing performance and the contribution to the business.
-General marketing support, assisting colleagues and making sure the marketing team functions effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications, skills and experience of the Marketing Manager
-At least two years' experience working in a B2B marketing team, preferably in a financial or professional services environment
-Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification or progress towards.
-Strong IT capability including MS Office applications, use of email marketing systems and website content management systems
-Proven track record in lead generation and marketing campaign strategy and execution using multiple channels to market - with strong experience of digital marketing.
-Working experience of different lead generation and lead nurturing tactics and a creative flair.
-Strong copywriting ability and experience producing different types of marketing content.
-Customer advocacy - ability to understand the customer's perspective and develop appropriate marketing tactics
Desirable competencies of the Marketing Manager
-Basic knowledge or awareness of FCA or PRA regulatory compliance
-Knowledge of B2B sales and marketing pipeline management
-Working knowledge of marketing automation and/or lead nurturing systems.
