LECTURER/ASSESSOR IN BUILT ENVIRONMENT
Hours: 37 per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: Up to GBP23,311 per annum (unqualified teacher status), or Up to GBP34,229 per annum (qualified teacher status)
Due to a rapid growth in provision, Eastleigh College is looking for a lecturer to join the Technology division and teach within the Built Environment learning area.
The Built Environment department have moved into a new purpose built Technology block with dedicated CADD suites and the most up to date facilities.
This role requires you to have excellent communication and organisational skills, coupled with excellent Built Environment industry experience to develop the potential of students within the area. If you are a graduate with relevant industry experience, we would also welcome your application. Your experience in industry could come from, Site Management, Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering pathway.
You will teach students in the 16-19 age group who are undertaking full-time vocational courses and Apprenticeships at level 3, as well as part-time 19+ students who are looking to develop their skills.
The subjects we teach range from: Project Management / Sustainable Construction / Science and Materials / Building Technology / Construction Technology / Building Surveying / Measurement, Estimate.
Ideally you will hold a teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent), and/or and Assessors Award for level 3 apprentices, or be willing to work towards either of these qualifications. If you do not have either of these qualifications, full training can be offered.
