The Role:
As an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer, you will deliver EHS related support and advice to colleagues throughout the business.
Ensuring site-wide compliance, you’ll share best practice and contribute to the review of safe working practices and behaviours. You’ll drive the continuous improvement of EHS record and data management, with a strong focus on centralising and streamlining processes.
Additionally, your tasks will involve:
- Ensuring compliance with current and future EHS legislation
- Delivering training to colleagues
- Co-ordinating internal EHS audits
- Recommending IT solutions to support the seamless input, collation and presentation of EHS performance data
About You:
To be considered, you’ll need:
- Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment
- An understanding of UK H&S legislation and an awareness of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements
- Strong IT skills
- The ability to build great working relationships at all levels
Ideally, you’ll have a NEBOSH qualification, or you’ll be working towards gaining a similar professional qualification, but this is by no means essential.
