Job Title: Customer Service Agent (Contact & Administration Centre)

Location: Portsmouth (PO6)

Salary: £16,100 to £18,000 per annum depending on experience (plus applicable shift allowance)

Job type: Permanent

Our client is based in Portsmouth, Lakeside 3000, North Harbour. They are a leading European provider of quality insurance products for over 100 major brand clients. The company operates selling its insurance, assistance and service programmers to major clients and key accounts via multi sector offerings.

They are currently recruiting for permanent staff for a range of full-time and part-time posts for Customer Service Agents within the Contact and Administration Centre. The company requires agents with excellent, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle customer enquiries and online claims, whilst demonstrating high levels of quality. The role requires our Customer Service Agents to be highly professional and motivated in a rewarding business.

The Role:

Being our client's customers' first contact, you will:

  • Manage and support customers through their online claims journey
  • Treat the customer fairly and professionally at all times, striving to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Assist customers with the completion of their enquiry from the first call to final resolution
  • Gather and record accurately and efficiently all relevant information required to resolve the customers interaction with us
  • Liaise with specialists / suppliers to manage the customer journey
  • Keep the customer fully informed of progress until a full resolution has been completed for all concerns
  • Be proactive with all customers to deliver and present our full product service

The Candidate:

While multi sector experience would be useful, it is not essential. It is essential that all applicants possess:

  • Excellent written communication and administration skills
  • Excellent verbal customer service skills
  • A professional and courteous manner
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Excel when working alone as well as part of a team
  • The ability to achieve targets with high levels of accuracy

Hours of Work:

We have a range of Shift Patterns available:

  • Full and part time day / night shifts: Combination of shifts available Monday to Sunday working between the hours of 8am -8pm & 8pm - 8am
  • Full time & Part time shifts: Combination of early and late Bi-weekly rotations between 8 - 8
