Our client is based in Portsmouth, Lakeside 3000, North Harbour. They are a leading European provider of quality insurance products for over 100 major brand clients. The company operates selling its insurance, assistance and service programmers to major clients and key accounts via multi sector offerings.

The Role:

Working as part of the existing development team you will be responsible for developing C# ASP Solutions for a variety of different parts of the business. This role will involve the design and development of internal and client software to support the needs of the business along with the redesign / refactoring of legacy applications.

Key Responsibilities:

As an experienced Developer you will be working in an Agile team and you will be responsible for the design, coding, testing, implementation and maintenance of existing and new software features.

• Utilising captured requirements, develop, amend and maintain new and existing software
• Ensure that systems are designed, developed and supported in line with our policies, standards and procedures

• Assessing existing applications and recommending approaches for modernization
• Working as a member of the development team, communicating progress against milestones

• To be a strong team player
• Be able to work within a small and demanding team environment without significant direction
• To have a flexible approach to be able to support the priorities of the business

Candidate's Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have a passion for delivering solutions through development and the drive and determination to deliver results in a small team to a growing business in conjunction with European group Development teams. Our client is looking for someone that is pro-active, with "get things done" approach to work. • framework - C# or VB, ASP, EF, ADO. NET, MVC, WebAPI
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• SQL / Relational Databases - MS SQL server (MySQL beneficial)
• Experience with SSRS and SSIS (Desirable)
• Exposure to Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• Front-end and UX/UI skills are beneficial
• Full project life-cycle experience from concept through development, testing and onto post-implementation support
• Enthusiastic with a passion for developing software, having great attention to detail with excellent written and verbal skills
• The ability to organise oneself to manage a diverse workload effectively
• The ability to work under pressure in an environment with varying deadlines
