Experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager - Full time (Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs)
The post is available immediately and includes bookkeeping duties covering the management of the debtors and creditors ledgers.
We are a Ruddington based marketing and buying group (B2B) in the healthcare sector. We have been established for 16 years.
We are recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a permanent basis. This opportunity will suit candidates who are experienced and possess all round accounts knowledge including purchase ledger, credit control and VAT.
The successful candidate’s scope of work will also include the complete management of the accounts office and its day to day activities, assisted by 2 experienced accounts assistants.
You will need some of the following skills and attributes:
- Outgoing personality with customer service experience.
- Excellent communication skills - both face to face, by phone and email.
- Producing monthly KPI/Management Accounts information.
- Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance stage.
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns using Sage 50/200.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Petty Cash and Credit Card Reconciliation.
- Maintain Purchase Ledger and make BACS payments.
- Maintain Sales Ledger and chase outstanding debts.
- Liaise with HMRC and external Accountants.
- Maintenance of Personnel holidays and absence.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office: excel and ppt for reports.
- Prepare VAT Returns and file with HMRC.
- Ability to learn quickly and suggest more efficient ways of managing systems.
