As a Community Learning Facilitator you will be teaching a range of courses such as personal development, employability, customer service, ICT and many other courses that are subject specific as per our partners requirements. The student groups are made up of individuals of varying ages and abilities.

You will be required to support the Employability and Engagement Manager in the delivery of the community curriculum to the quality and standards required, through an integrated learning experience that supports the development and enhancement of the students, and establishing an ethos which is dedicated to the needs of the customer and delivers first class services to support the student journey and high quality learning and teaching experiences. You will contribute to ensuring a positive learning environment which encourages active participation and enables all learners to achieve their full potential, through the effective learning and teaching of students by assisting in the development, delivery and assessment of relevant resources.

This is an exciting opportunity which may be suited to someone who has experience of delivering SQA units.

Our courses are driven by the needs of local communities and our extensive external partners throughout Ayrshire.  Therefore you should be available to respond to the needs of our partners as and when required. Some courses are short two day courses others can run for a number of weeks. Flexibility is essential as well as the ability to travel throughout Ayrshire.

You will be qualified to HND level or equivalent  in a related subject area and/or relevant experience to the Skill Area, e.g. ICT, Employability, Drama, Music, Art, Beauty, Languages, Counselling, other skills sets will be considered.

It is also desirable, but not essential, that you hold, or are working towards, a professional teaching qualification and have experience of teaching within the relevant discipline.
