abuse throughout Nottingham and region.

We have an exciting opportunity for three Helpline Advisors to join our dynamic team in an organisation at the forefront of domestic violence support. The appointed person will have a good understanding of the issues faced by women with multiple support needs.

Helpline Advisor – 24 hour Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse

Helpline x 3 roles
(23.5 hours per week)

NJC Scale point 27 - £23,935 pro rata

On call payments are paid at a rate of £16 per night.

Helpline Advisors provide telephone support via the 24 hour freephone helpline to women who have or are experiencing domestic abuse or sexual violence, their friends, family and other professionals involved in supporting them.

You will join a motivated, supportive, professional team and will be required to work directly with individual clients and liaise with other agencies and organisations such as the police, housing and social care. Experience of working with survivors of domestic abuse is essential, as is an ability to listen, communicate empathetically and provide non-judgemental support.

All posts work to a fixed shift pattern of 2 days and 1 evening per week, with a weekend rota covering 1 weekend day and 1 weekend evening in four weeks. The role also involves on-call responsibility to cover the crisis line overnight, one night a week.
