Project Manager ( video games dialogue / voice production manager ) - Salary GBP35k+

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager to join one of the video games industry's most successful and well respected multi-award winning outsource companies as a Production Manager.

SIDE is a voice production company specialising in games dialogue, that for over a decade has played a pivotal role in casting and capturing some of the games industry's most widely acclaimed performances.

As a Production Manager in the company's Central London facility, you will be responsible for the smooth running of dialogue production, for everything from indie mobile games to AAA console games, as well as voice production for other tech & digital media, working with a multitude of clients from around the world. You will be responsible for the timely completion of agreed deliverables and milestones, to a very high standard, while keeping to the client's budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare initial dialogue production cost estimates for clients based on the client's brief.
• Work to short list actors to present to the client and/or audition for targeted roles in the game.
• Prepare more detailed cost estimates as the client's brief expands and early script information becomes available.
• Take a first pass of vendor contracts and talent agreements where necessary, to pick up obvious errors or points for negotiation ( though no legal experience or in depth training are needed or expected ).
• Prepare a project schedule of actors and their characters to record.
• Negotiate fees with acting agents where necessary.
• Book actors.
• Prepare recording scripts for actors, directors and studio engineers, along with any other essential assets required for the smooth running of the recording sessions ( note this is not a script writing procedure, simply a formatting procedure ).
• Brief recording studio teams about the production.
• Track the progress of the recording sessions throughout, updating schedules and actor, director and studio bookings.
• Integrate script updates and changes throughout the production and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Track the progress of final audio assets deliverables, by liaising with the company's audio edit / delivery team.
• Liaise with the client throughout.
• Track all costs throughout.
• Prepare final costs for the client to raise their purchase order.
• Handle all queries and issues arising.

Candidate Requirements
• 2+ years' experience in a role requiring a similar overall project management skill set.
• 2+ years' experience in a role with responsibility for multiple budgets in excess of GBP50,000 each.
• Excellent client facing and internal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Experienced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office, in particular of Microsoft Excel, ideally but not essentially, comfortable using formulas such as SUMIFS and COUNTIFS to assess dialogue scripts ( training will be given so an aptitude is more critical than existing knowledge ).
• Both a self-starter, able to work alone as and where necessary, and a team player, able to muck in at all levels to get the job done.
• Comfortable both taking instruction from senior members of staff and giving instruction to junior members of staff.

Desirable
• An interest in games and/or games production, making conversing with clients easier and more productive.
• An interest in developments within both the tech / digital media and games industries and the consequential growth of the company in terms of services on offer / lines of business, etc.
