Assistant Campus Support Officer Grade 3 (2 Posts)

£17,326 - £19,850 pa (plus rotating shift and night shift allowances)

You will be responsible for promoting the safety and the security of staff, students, visitors, property and the car parking facilities of the University of Liverpool. You will report to the Campus Support Team Leader and work alongside the Campus Support Officers. The role operates on a rotating 12 hour shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights followed by 4 rest days. The ability to work a variety of days and nights on a rolling basis is essential.  You will provide a broad range of security, car parking guidance and advice on departmental procedures to consumers throughout the University. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, have a high level of customer care and an enthusiastic approach.  You should have 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language, possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to write clear and concise reports and possess a clean driving licence. A SIA license (door supervision), current first aid certificate and previous experience in this type of role would be advantageous. The post involves a degree of strenuous physical activity and a system to control the risks is in place.  Appointment will be subject to Occupational Health screening.  You will provide support to various sites which include the main campus located in the city centre and remote sites including Halls of Residence in South Liverpool, Ness Botanic Gardens and Veterinary Field Station located on the Wirral and other nearby property.
