LOCATION: Preston, Lancashire

JOB TITLE: Utilities Account Manager / Business Development Executive

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP24,000 with an expected OTE of GBP40,000 plus car allowance, mobile phone, laptop, pension, 30 days holiday (inc bank holidays)

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

THE COMPANY: Our client is a local drainage and plumbing expert based in the Northwest however part of an international brand. They provide expert, emergency plumbing and drainage services as well as planned services and maintenance. Our client pride themselves on their swift response and the expertise of staff. They are committed to providing a typically high level of service to our customers, whether commercial or domestic, ensuring that we are always first choice for any drainage or plumbing problems. Our client has ambitious plans to double their business over the next three years and are now looking for a Utilities Account Manager / Business Development Executive to join their existing team in the North West.

THE ROLE: Our client is seeking a Utilities Account Manager / Business Development Executive to manage and grow their existing account customer base plus source and develop new account customers across the area.

Key Responsibilities of a Utilities Account Manager / Business Development Executive to include:-

60% previous/existing customer management 40% new sales (not exhaustive)
Key account management maximising profit from existing clients and PSL agreements
Build long lasting, profitable relationship across a diverse range of clients
Preparation and deployment of sales bids, tenders in the public and private sectors assuming full responsibility for closing business deals across multiple products.
All administration duties from start to finish
Assumes full responsibility / delivery for monthly targets across an array of KPI's
Develop inbound, outbound and web-chat enquires into successful, repeat business accounts across multiple utility sectors
Rapidly link business requirements / value to client needs
Report all forecast and pipeline metrics effectively and accurately.
Demonstrate & deliver exceptional levels of customer service, exceeding both internal and external client needs
Maintain & manage all internal systems and tools to accurately process accounts /
client management

THE CANDIDATE: You will have relevant experience and be a self-starter who is determined to succeed. If you have experience within the drainage or construction industries it would be a bonus though not essential as industry specific training will be provided for the right individual. Your skills and attitude will be the key drivers.
Key skills essential for the role of Utilities Account Manager / Business Development Executive based in Preston:

Must hold a full UK driving licence and live within a commutable distance of Preston.
Ability to multi task, work under pressure, proactive and exceed sales set targets
Diverse communication skills in telesales and face to face meetings
Dynamic, energetic, ambitious with a positive attitude
Excellent deal closer, with exceed target mentality
IT literate, with ability to quickly adapt to internal systems / tools
Must be willing to work remotely across the NW but also attend head office twice per week
