An urgent opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to join a technical manufacturing organisation as a Supply Chain Quality Coordinator. The Supply Chain Quality Coordinator will be responsible for interfacing with suppliers to improve and maintain product and process quality and to conduct auditing of company procedures and inspections.
Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Quality Coordinator;
Visit suppliers and conduct process & product audits.
Conduct first article inspections at the supplier premises.
Assist in the development of the quality, environmental & safety management systems ensuring their compliance and effectiveness.
Conduct internal and support external supplier audits of the QMS, EMS & SMS.
Assist and support the quality processes for inbound / outbound inspection.
To support continuous improvement programmes to progress and maintain efficient & effective processes.
Implementation of contract conditions, technical specifications and international standards.
Analyse quality complaints, implement appropriate actions to prevent recurrence in accordance with the company system.
To conduct inspection of finished products produced for shipment to customers to ensure conformance to drawing and specifications.
1Undertake the role of quality representative in respect to audits undertaken by the ISO certification body (BSI), customer and other 3rd party audits.
Development and management of contract and customer quality requirements including the production of technical documentation.
To carry out first off inspection according to internal procedures, interfacing with the supplier and engineering department.
To work closely with the Quality team, sharing knowledge and experience.
To conduct quality investigations using root cause analysis and the compilation of reports to provide strategies for prevention.
Personal Specification for the Supply Chain Quality Coordinator;
Supply Chain experience.
Experience of Quality processes.
Experience within a technical manufacturing environment.
Excellent IT skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
This role would suit you if you have held any of the following roles; Supply Chain Planner, Supply Planner, Supply Chain Controller, Production Planner, Production Controller, Materials Planner, Materials Controller or Inventory Controller, Quality Assurance
