PROJECT ENGINEER REQUIRED! PERMANENT POSITION BASED NEAR LICHFIELD.
EMBS are currently in partnership with an exciting engineering company who manufacture and design specialist automotive and motorsport components for some of the world's leading companies.
Commutable from: Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Cannock, Lichfield, Brownhills, Aldridge, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coventry, Leicester, Burton on Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Barton Under Needwood, Walsall and other surrounding areas.
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support across the full project life-cycle from initial request to the finished product handover.administrative support across the full project life-cycle from initial request to the finished product handover.
Key responsibilities include:
* Support the development of project documentation e.g. project proposals, EOR's, project handover documents.
* Preparation and monitoring of project plans, timeframes and resource plans using content and task management systems
* Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
* Assigning tasks to team members and assisting with schedule management
* Creation of high quality and accurate project status reports
* Work closely with stakeholders to manage project requirements and contribute to project review meetings
* Identify risk issues and ensure timely actions to mitigate, including escalating when necessary
* To effectively engage and develop strong working relationships with project stakeholders
* Attend daily review meetings with the QROC team to discuss progress of each project that is running through the cell.
* Use and develop methods to break down the project into stages and monitor its progress.
* Coordinate daily project activities for maximising results
* Producing documentation that will form part of the 'project handover documents' into Engineering
* Liaise with other departments to ensure information is collated and monitored.
* Create, update and manage Excel documents
* Generate ideas for improvements to company systems or processes
* Ad hoc duties as required to assist the Chief Engineer
Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate the following:
* Previous Project Engineering experience within an Automotive or Engineering environment.
* Experience of using MS Project, Excel and MS Office
* Problem solving abilities
* Experience of identifying risk and risk mitigation
* Effective verbal and written communication skills; experience of liaising with Director level stakeholders
* Good commercial awareness regarding contracts and budgets
* Experience in implementing new processes and efficiencies
* Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
