Job purpose

To ensure that the highest level of administrative support for all aspects of Investment and Portfolio activity are carried out efficiently and professionally.

To provide operational support in the delivery of investment funds and support the  day-to-day functions of Wrexham based staff  and support to the FW Capital Fund Administrator.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Working for the Investment and Portfolio teams, you will be required to provide effective administrative support including but not limited to:

  • Assist closely with the ongoing investment process and deal completion including the co-ordination of legal and drawdown documentation and pre-drawdown credit checks. Specifically, provide support for the compilation and checking of investment files prior to draw down.
  • Provide assistance in the handover process of a new investment as it is transferred to the portfolio team, preparing a handover checklist, creating a portfolio file, recording and monitoring any outstanding loan conditions (CS’).
  • Where required, carry out Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks at initial stages of the investment process.
  • Provide ongoing assistance Portfolio teams including chasing outstanding CS’, verifying any amendments in CDD during the course of the loan, chasing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and chasing of financial information from customers.
  • Organise business development and portfolio meetings on behalf of the investment and portfolio staff based in the Wrexham office.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, minutes and agendas in support of  meetings.
  • Provide a central co-ordinating role ensuring a continuous dialogue with customers and with individuals based in the Wrexham office and FW Capital (North West team) with regards to progress and activity.
  • Manage investment documentation and data capture systems including CRM, SharePoint and planning systems.
  • Take responsibility for financial processing including the raising of purchase orders, processing invoices.
  • Take responsibility for the administrative requirements of the Wrexham office, including the processing of post, scanning documentation, ordering stationary and archiving files.
  • Provide support to the Director of Risk, Legal and Compliance and the FW Capital Fund Manager with organising their meetings and any other administrative tasks they may define.
  • Co-ordinate attendance at appropriate meetings, seminars and events.
  • Where required, be responsible for screening of applications at initial stages.  Undertake research in order to make an assessment and respond to clients formally, requesting further information if required.
  • Provide cover for the Wrexham office Reception where required.
  • Provide cover for the Fund Administrator where required.
  • Any other task as may be defined by the Line Manager to meet the operational needs of the Wrexham and FW Capital teams.
  • Spend time as required in the FW Capital offices in Manchester

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Business environment in North Wales and Northern England.
  • Experience of analysing financial information
  • Knowledge of ERDF reporting requirements and processes
