About Network Rail

Network Rail is at the heart of revitalising Britain's railway. From the rejuvenation of King's Cross station and the upgrade and expansion of Thameslink, to Europe's largest civil engineering project - Crossrail - we are involved in some of the most ambitious and diverse ventures the UK has ever seen. This will help us deliver the better railway that is vital for the economic prosperity of this country, transforming how people travel and make a massive difference to passengers and freight users right across Britain.

Network Rail is one of the largest land and property owners in the country and the Property team is responsible for generating sustainable income from the estate for re-investment in our rail infrastructure. This includes management of our workplaces, maximising commercial income and profit, and optimising capital receipts and station enhancements from the development and disposal of surplus properties and land. All proceeds from commercial activities are reinvested in the operational rail network.

Our professional property team is dedicated to supporting the railway, delighting our customers and stakeholders, and helping to reduce the cost of the railway to taxpayers. Joining them in this key role, you'll make a contribution to some of the largest projects in Britain today; projects that will have a real impact on the economy. You'll have your own portfolio of cases and working as part of a team you will contribute to the delivery of property solutions for major enhancement schemes. This will include temporary and permanent land acquisitions of rural and industrial land, assistance with TWAO applications, disposals and small lettings. This post would be suitable for a candidate who is interested in training to be a Chartered Surveyor. Your remit will span from Kings Cross to Berwick Upon Tweed.
