Electrical Maintenance Engineer

This company is the leading UK supplier of drawn plain and tinned copper wire.

This is a newly created role due to natural growth and capital investment in new lines of Production.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will work as part of a team of Engineers and be responsible for making sure high speed machinery and equipment runs smoothly. You will be working on machines producing copper and tinned wire. You will also be required to maintain electrical systems throughout the premises.

Your duties will involve:

- Organising routine servicing schedules
- Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed
- Making scheduled checks on machinery and parts
- Recalibrating instruments
- Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule

You will be required to work a 40 hour week on a three shift rota and if required, will work overtime during the week and at weekends. You may also be required to respond to emergency call-out duties.

You will need the following:

- An awareness of health and safety legislation
- Good eyesight and normal colour vision.
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
- PLC skiiled
- able to work with AC/DC controls
- experience in a manufacturing environment

You will be entitled to 20 days holiday a year (plus 8 statutory holidays), company pension and healthcare.
