The successful applicant would be joining a brigade of 12 chefs, working 5 out of 7 days per week, various shifts.

Main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• To ensure the food preparation and presentation meets the required standards
• To comply with the hotels' health and safety and food safety legislations
• To supervise and motivate the team when required
• To monitor portion control, fresh food and dry store orders

Desirable skills and aptitudes required:

• Ability to work well under pressure
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills
• Passionate and willing to advance

">We are currently recruiting for a Chef De Partie for our well established client.

The Role:

  • Preparation and production of high quality foods at all times.
  • Working within agreed budgets and regulations, and meeting budget targets.
  • Supervising and mentoring less experienced brigade members.
  • Work closely with the food and beverage team to enhance product knowledge and increase the customers experience.
  • Planning and pricing of menus.
  • Ensuring the hightest level of food hygeine in the kitchen at all times.
  • Ensure health and safety legislation is complied with in the Kitchen areas.
  • Any other such duties that may be required from time to time by the Head Chef or his/her nominee.

The Person:

  • Motivated
  • An NVQ Level 3 or professional cookery qualification is desirable.
  • Have a food handlers certificate.
  • Previous experience working in a hotel or luxary restaurant.
  • Demonstrating an ability to organise, prioritise and manage a section within the kitchen.
