An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Bid Administrator to join us in Welwyn Garden City.

Within this role, you will prepare PQQ and Tender submission documents and support the wider activities of business development and preconstruction. This may include event organisation.

Working closely with and interviewing all disciplines within the business, you will assimilate technical information to deliver high quality proposal text that meets the project brief.  You will research into the customer and end user to find key drivers and requirements and any extra information that will ensure a bespoke and customer focused submission document.

You will be expected to coordinate and where possible convert inputs into answers (with support from existing bid team and associated wider team), and will be given a set of process bullet points and turn that (with support) into a well worded written response.

In addition, you will be responsible for the filing of tender documents received by the client and distribution of updates to the various bid teams as well as the production of pre-qualification documents to the required standards.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have an inquisitive personality and determination to obtain information from a wide set of sources and will have excellent written and document preparation skills.  With the ability to meet deadlines every time, you should also be IT proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.  Above all, we feel that the successful candidate’s character/personality, with good language and grammar, is more important than their skillset.

Although not essential, a Degree qualification and experience working for a contractor/developer within new build housing would be beneficial.  Knowledge of InDesign and event organisation would also be an advantage.
