Established in 1999, Next Link provides a range of domestic abuse support services to women and children within Bristol and South Glos.
Our integrated service delivery team has expanding and we have a number of exciting opportunities for creative and highly motivated women with a broad understanding of domestic abuse issues, complex needs and a commitment to providing a high quality inclusive service within Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
FEMALE* DUTY TELEPHONE HELPLINE WORKER - PART-TIME
Salary: Point 16, £17,419 (pro-rata)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 18.75 hours
Includes some evening and Saturday working on a rota basis with participation in out of hours telephone rota
Location: Bristol
The successful candidates will have:
- experience of providing telephone or 1-1 support to vulnerable people
- an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women and children
- the ability to assess risk and need, and support the victim to put an action plan in place
- the ability to provide respectful, non-judgemental and confidential support to domestic abuse victims
- the ability to respond effectively in a crisis situation
