Job Title CNC Turning/Milling Machinist
Location South Wigston
Salary GBP14.57 per hour
The Role
Our client is currently looking for a CNC Machinist in South Wigston. The role will involve either milling or turning machines and you will be required to work on one-offs and small batch work. The role will also involve inspecting your own work so you must be able to read engineering drawings and use hand measuring equipment. The candidates must be able to commit to a three-shift working pattern (37 hours per week) and the rate of pay is GBP14.57/hr.
The Candidate
The right candidate will have a strong engineering background and previous experience with cnc milling or turning machines. The candidate must be able to work within a fast-paced precision engineering environment.
Key criteria for the successful candidate are:
* Sound experience of working on multi axis CNC machines
* Ability to create quality work to tight tolerances
* Ideally a recognised engineering qualification - Apprenticeship, BTEC, NVQ etc.
* Ability to work in both metric and imperial measurements
* Ability to use a manual micrometre to inspect parts
* Ability to read and interpret method specs / Engineering drawings
