Our work is varied and includes due diligence studies (technical, contractual and financial) construction and operation monitoring, contractual reviews, energy yield analysis, irradiation studies, feasibility studies, market and strategic advice, project development assistance, regulatory development, analysis and review and technology assessments.

Job description

Our Brighton team are involved in these projects all over the world (mainly in the megawatt (MW) scale). The work we're involved with is varied and we can promise you'll never get bored!

You'll get to experience projects from conception to completion and will provide engineering inputs from initial assessment through to technical and economic feasibility, due diligence, construction monitoring and acceptance.

You'll also be reviewing and preparing technical and non-technical reports including specifications, proposals, calculations and contracts. There will also be technical tender support, actively assisting with business development and client management.

We work as an integrated, global network so you will get the chance to work alongside other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary project team giving you an understanding of projects from different technology perspectives. This means we look for engineers with genuine curiosity and a deep understanding of solar projects.

Candidate specification

As a company our role is to open opportunities for clients and we do this through a connected global network of solar experts working across Thailand, Japan, the UAE, South Africa, North and South America and the UK. We look to utilise the most relevant experts for the challenge of the project no matter where they are based in the world.

It's essential to have these three main criteria to apply for this role, we're sorry but we won't be able to consider your application without these:

- experience of working in a solar consultancy
- degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering
- master's degree in a renewable energy subject
- experience of working in at least one of our areas of work as laid out above
- experience working on megawatt scale solar plants (PV)

Travel is part of the role for project and client visits.

Now to the location. Our Brighton office has around 300 people. We're by the sea, it's sunny???quite a lot of the time???and there is a huge amount to do here.
