GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 depending on experience + package

Our client, a North West Main Contractor, are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Objectives

1. To report on a monthly basis via CVR's or on an ad hoc basis depending on the clients requirements.
2. To take commercial responsibility for contract performance to maximise both turnover and profitability.
3. To adhere to a robust commercial process ensuring that the client obtains continued high quality and value for money.

Key Deliverables

To be an active and effective team member in respect of cost and commercial matters on the clients multiple project rollout programme, interfacing with other members of the internal project team. Ensure accuracy and quality is to the standard required by the client.
Consistent and accurate cost budgeting and reporting.
Cost planning pre contract and post contract stages.
Provision of detailed tender submission reports on a project by project basis, ensuring submission dates are adhered too.
Monitoring and executing accurate change management and cost evaluation.
Contribute to the client commercial reporting by preparing timely cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
Actively value engineer proposed works providing best value for the client.
Preparation and agreement of final accounts within 28 days of achieving Operational Readiness.
Achieve 100% cost predictability KPI on all projects.
Process timely/monthly valuations ensuring positive cash flow on all projects.
Ensuring all procurement of all domestic sub-contractors and Tier 2 suppliers are issued in a timely manner according to the overall programme of works.
Provide the client's nominated QS with accurate up to date cost information as and when required.
Provide accurate Cost and Value reports on a monthly as well as an ad hoc basis.
Attend regular client and internal meetings/audios when required.
Attend regular surveys to gain vital project knowledge of projects.
Fair and reasonable assessment of cub contract valuations and final account agreement in a timely manner.
Develop strong and good working relationships with colleagues, the client and supply chain partners.
Have the ability and organisational skills to work and manage multiple projects at any one time.
Ensuring projects are run in a coordinated manner and in accordance with plans by assisting the contracts team
Liaising directly with design teams and client representatives
