Accountant

Our SME client, with nice offices in Peterborough, has a varied role for an Accountant that enjoys business partnering with operational colleagues. The role will report directly into the Financial Controller.

The role will be targeted at a part qualified/ qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) who is happy getting int the detail and enjoys hitting deadlines. The individual must be a natural business partner, capable of dealing with stakeholders at all levels. Strong excel skillswith a key eye for detail wi be required

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys seeing the whole picture. This is a fast-paced role, where no two days will be the same.
The main duties of this role will be

- Prepare and review monthly management accounts,
- Analyse variance to forecasts and educate operational managers on over spend
- Prepare and manage cashflow forecast.
- Prepare annual financial budgets and update rolling forecasts
- Assist in year end statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
- Monitor, update and reconcile fixed asset register
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare financial information for monthly board meetings.
- Occassioal posting of invoices when supporting holiday cover
- Quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage one member of staff
