This school works with children with profound, severe and complex learning needs, many of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum. The school provides its students with a happy learning environment, giving them a positive attitude towards their work, helping them thrive and progress.
We are working with the school who are looking for 3 SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will be:
• Supporting KS1, 2, 3 or 4 (dependent on your experience) Students in their subjects/Learning
• Maintaining and improving the academic results of their students
• Classroom management
• Be able to work alongside the Teacher as a general Teaching Assistant or on a 1:1 basis
• Working closely with students with ASD and PMLD
To be successful in the SEN Teaching Assistant role, you must:
• Hold an up to date DBS
• Have experience working with children with ASD and PMLD
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Have strong knowledge of the KS2/KS3 curriculum
• Must work well with staff and pupils alike
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be offered:
• Supportive and friendly team to work with
• A friendly consultant on hand whenever needed
• Work within their thriving and friendly department
• Excellent rates of pay in line with your experience from GBP60 to GBP65 per day
• An excellent referral scheme
