The role As Lead Software Engineer you will be located within one or moremulti-functional teams and will carry out a wide variety of activities,from assisting the team to write code, breaking down complex technicalproblems and identifying steps towards solutions to coaching teammembers and engaging with non-technical stakeholders. You will takedecisions about low and high level software design options anddevelopment tools, within the relevant strategic framework. You will bepioneers for innovation and look to gain endorsement to introduce newtechnologies where this best meet the needs of the business. This rolebalances a hands-on approach with a strategic outlook, working withother senior leads to ensure that the developed solutions meet thepresent and future requirements of HMLR and support end to end business needs. Their ideal Lead Software Engineer They are looking for an effective, self-motivated individual with astrong track record of building and running high volume, reliable andflexible services that are user focussed and continually improvedthrough iterative development. You will have comprehensive and recentexperience of designing and implementing and coding complex softwaresystems (e.g. an active software developer currently engaged inarchitecting and building high volume digital services). In addition youwill have knowledge of agile product management in particulardetermination of vision, objectives, goals and success criteria gainedthrough practical experience.
