Research & Development Laboratory Technician
Runcorn, Cheshire
Up to £25,000 DOE Plus Pension, DIS
Our client is an independent, privately owned company that provides a specialised range of quality products aimed at Life Science customers. They are now looking for a Research & Development Laboratory Technician to join their team.

As a Research & Development Laboratory Technician, you will support our client’s research and development activities within their laboratory.
In this diverse role, you’ll investigate and produce feasibility reports for proposed products and process in a UKAS accredited ISO 17025 environment.
Specifically, you will:
- Conduct validations of processes, ensuring they are fit for purpose and in compliance with international standards
- Record, analyse and interpret data and information accurately
- Write reports
- Develop SOPs and other documentation
- Present data, information and reports in meetings
- Provide training to colleagues
Interested? To be considered, you will need:
- Experience as a laboratory technician in an R&D role, ideally gained in a pharmaceutical, life science, ISO 17025 accredited or GMP environment
- Strong report writing skills
- The ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
- A degree (or equivalent) in a scientific and/or chemical engineering discipline
As a Research & Development Laboratory Technician, you will be logical, analytical and able to manage and prioritise your workload effectively. A strong work ethic, great communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are also key.
Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of COSHH, risk assessments and health and safety, but this isn’t essential.
