Non-Executive Directors

Brentwood Academies trust (BAt) based in Brentwood, whose head office is based in st Martin's school, seeks three new non-executive directors for its trust board. Board meetings are held in a rotation between the three trust schools. this unpaid voluntary role will provide the successful applicants with an excellent opportunity to develop professionally as well as give something back to the wider community.

About the trust
BAT is a multi-academy trust (MAT) based in Essex. The trust was formed on 1 July 2014 and is currently comprised of one average sized primary school whose roll is rising; Larchwood Primary School and two larger than average secondary schools; St Martin's School which is the sponsor school and Chase High School. Larchwood Primary School and St Martin's School have been judged to be outstanding by OfSTED. Chase High School
has yet to be inspected but the predecessor school was judged inadequate in 2014.

Trust Ethos and Values
The main aims of the trust are:
• Ensuring that every child enjoys a high quality education in terms of
resourcing, teaching and learning, curriculum provision and assessment.
• Raising the standard of educational achievement to ensure high levels of
progress and attainment for all pupils.

Your Role as a Director
The Board meets five times a year and your role will be to hold the individual schools to account for their educational performance and their financial probity. The term of office is four years.
