About the role:

To support our growing business, we are looking for a to join our team in the Wigan depot.

As Service Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • effectively line manage our team of technicians / engineers, ensuring KPIs are met, holding performance meetings and ensuring the efficient running of the technical team
  • work closely with other members of the management team to ensure successful running of the depot
  • monitor the standard of servicing being provided, ensuring compliance with budgets and customer service level agreements
  • training of technicians / engineers
  • stock and spares control
  • maintain a good working relationship with customers to ensure the company is well represented at all times
  • manual handling of machinery, complying with Health and Safety requirements at all times

Hours: 

This is predominantly a dayshift role, however flexibility is essential as some weekend work and holiday cover for the shift system will be required.

About you:

You will have previous experience as a supervisor of technicians / engineers and ideally you will also have experience as a gaming machines technician. If you do not have gaming machine experience, then training can be provided, however previous experience in servicing electromechanical products is essential. Previous experience in the licensed trade sector would be beneficial.

In addition, you will have:

  • excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with both customers and members of the public
  • good technical skills
  • knowledge of the local area
  • a full, clean driving licence and the confidence to drive the delivery van to new locations daily
  • flexibility with working hours
  • the ability to work unsupervised and to manage your time effectively
  • the ability to comply with Health and Safety requirements and undertake a significant amount of manual handling
