Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join an award winning and innovative company. Based in the West Midlands with national travel the successful Quantity Surveyor will earn an extremely competitive salary plus many additional benefits including a company car, mobile phone and laptop.

The company has recently won awards for Quality Management and Continuous Improvement and has worked on many high profile projects at locations including luxury hotels and the Royal Albert Hall. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overall cost planning and surveying as well as providing commercial direction to the project team. The main duties of the Quantity Surveyor will include, but not be limited to:

• Estimation and preparation of cost plans
• Reviewing the compliancy of contracts and associated documentation
• Playing a role in project planning and budgeting
• Optimisation of resources

The successful Quantity Surveyor will have a degree level qualification in quantity surveying or something similar. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. In addition, you will possess the following key skills/experience:

• Experience in retail projects or something similar
• Excellent communication skills
• Good client management skills
• Organisational and team working skills
• Decision making and logic skills
• Must be willing to travel nationwide
