I T Support & Project Specialist

My clients IT solutions business have a requirement for an experienced IT Support & Projects Specialist with good exposure to supporting and configuring Microsoft Windows Server, Desktop, Exchange, SharePoint, and other business information technologies.

You will be comfortable working with SME customers either as part of a small team or alone, therefore a candidate with exceptional customer service skills, smart presentation and strong technical experience is essential.

You will be responsible for the most complex customer related service requests sent to our helpdesk via our web portal, telephone or email. You must be able to close calls to customer satisfaction, showing professionalism throughout the lifecycle of the ticket. You will also be required to undertake I projects, from conception to completion, implementing a varying array of modern information technology concepts.

Travel to customer sites is required, therefore you must possess a full driving licence and car, be willing to drive company vehicles and work out of hours occasionally. You may be required to work beyond normal office hours when the needs of the business stipulate.

Ideally you will be familiar with working for an I services organisation, servicing a varying array of clients each with different challenges.

Must Have Experience:

• Windows Server 2008R2-2016
• Windows 7-10Workstations
• Server virtualisation (Hyper-V preferred)
• Exchange 2010-2016
• Office 365 migration and support
• Thorough understanding of networking fundamentals. To include configuration of switches, routers and firewalls, DHCP scopes, vLAN, QoS etc.
• Configuration of mobile devices (Apple/Microsoft/Android)
• Project scoping and design
• Presentation to board level clients

Desirable Experience (at least three of the below):

• Routers & Firewalls (Preferably Cisco or Draytek)
• Windows Failover Clustering
• Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services)
• Managed Endpoint Protection
• HPE or Dell servers
• SAN and NAS storage (iSCSI/NFS)
• Backup & DR solutions
• Apache / PHP
